Louisiana Fur and Wildlife Festival This Weekend

The Louisiana Fur and Wildlife Festival is this weekend, highlighting local, natural resource industries in the Southwest Louisiana.There will be parades, pageants, dances, Cajun music, exhibits and a carnival. Plus trap setting, nutria and muskrat skinning, oyster shucking and skeet shooting. And the dog trials which are always a favorite among hunters. The 57th Annual Louisiana Fur and Wildlife Festival will be located across from the Cameron Parish School Board grounds in downtown Cameron, gates will open at noon on Friday and at 9 a.m. on Saturday.

Schedule of Events

Friday, January 10, 2014
All events will take place on the fairgrounds located at the Pat's of Cameron in Downtown Cameron unless otherwise stated. Ice chests, outside food, and beverages will not be allowed on the fairgrounds.

10:00am- Dog Trials

12:00pm- Gates open ($10 per person children 10 years old and under free)

Trap Shooting Begins

Carnival will open
6:30pm- Ryan Foret and Foret Tradition takes the stage.
