Seven Songs Kelli Casey Can’t Live Without

Every now and then, we are asked to do little stories to give you, our listeners, some input on the jocks…and in my case the jockette! This story was more of a compilation, but one of my faves since I LOVE music! Did I mention that I LOVE music? The hard part was narrowing it down because I have a lot of favorites! So you wanna know what songs I can’t live without?? Like I said, I had to narrow down the list, but it’s just going to have to do!

  • "Desperado"

    This has been a personal favorite for about 30 years…so much so that it’s one of my favorites to sing in Karaoke! It’s a song that just cuts right through to the heart of the matter!

  • "Killing Me Softly"

    Roberta Flack

    Being a singer, I can truly relate to the lyrics of this but on the other side for a change! I always loved Roberta’s version and then the Fugees did it slower, which I love!

  • "The Way You Make Me Feel"

    Michael Jackson

    I love songs that make me feel good and this is one of those songs!!! He has so many good songs, but this one always gets cranked up!!!! It’s the throw back for me of Justin Timberlake’s “Sexy Back” (and yes, I love that one too, but I would be here for a year listing all of my faves!)

  • "Stupid Boy"

    This is one that’s always touched me and I especially love how he sings about her running when she figured out she could!! It was well written and performed by one of my favorite artists!

  • "Hold On"

    This song came out a few years before my father died and I always went back to it during his cancer battle. I love Sara’s clarity and this song is just amazing and heartbreaking!

  • "Over You"

    A fairly current one that is definitely on of my favorites! I used to think it was about a husband or a boyfriend leaving her until I saw the video…I finally caught up! WOW! Again, I always think of my dad! Just love this song!

  • "Anyway"

    If there was ever song that inspired me to just be who I am and just do what I want to do, it is THIS song!!!! It’s amazing and I wish I could sing it, but it’s much too high for me!!! I love everything about it! She is amazing and the song just ROCKS!
