A Visit With Good Friend Neal McCoy

I was invited to a meeting where my old friend Neal McCoy was speaking last night and I'm so glad I went because I saw a different side of Neal.Sure he sang a couple of songs(just him and a mic) but it was mostly talking about his life and a lot of things I had never heard and I'd heard a lot. He talked about his book "A New Mountain to Climb" about people that inspired him. He also talked of his "East Texas Angel Network" an organization committed to the enhancement of the lives of children with terminal or life threatening diseases and their big benefit concert in October. He was also happy to tell us all that he was going on tour this year with Blake Shelton. Now that's a big deal. It was a very enjoyable night and now I can say that not only is Neal McCoy a great entertainer(and I'm a huge fan), a dear friend, but also a very entertaining public speaker using his good ole boy down to earth country charm. Thanks Neal again for all you do.
