It took some time (quite a bit of time, actually), but the New Haven Hillhouse High School class of 1943 will finally be having prom this Sunday.
We saw this amazing resignation cake and got inspired. Not to quit our jobs, but to admire the ways others have in the past. Our most "creative" quit was telling the owner of a Chinese buffet over the phone that they couldn't yell at us anymore, because we quit so there. Compared to these, that just isn't that impressive.
You should probably watch this video. Especially if you need something absurd to turn your day around. This is about as ridiculous as it gets. It's a man doing his impressions of how different animals eat their food.
Hopefully anybody who's tempted to watch this for actual advice watches all the way through first, rather than just follow along.
Remember when Valentine's Day was awesome? You spent all day gluing construction paper to a shoe box, for the sole purpose of having people stuff it with cheap candy and cards from the pharmacy. Now it's just Someecards on Facebook and the orange creams are all that's left in the Whitman's sampler in the office kitchen.
Here are some of those cards you maybe used to get in your shoebox, if the teacher was too depressed to make you make your own Valentines. Happy Valentine's Day.
It's the biggest sporting event of the year, and the ads of Super Bowl 2013 are living up to their expectations. Thank goodness, because the amount of money spent on Super Bowl commercials makes it really disappointing when they're not good
It's only halfway through it's third season, but we can safely say that 'Workaholics' is one of the more easily quotable shows on television right now. How could it not be -- Anders, Adam and Blake chuck out little nuggets of hilarity so often the actual challenge is picking which ones to keep with us. Fortunately, we've taken that heavy burden off your shoulders and taken it upon ourselves. Here are ten great quotes from 'Workaholics' for your personal enjoyment. Let's get weeeeird.
It's Tuesday, so you probably need a good cry. Here, watch this video. It's children from Sandy Hook Elementary performing 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' on 'Good Morning America.' The kids recorded the song, with folk musician Ingrid Michaelson, at the home of former Talking Heads members Tina Weymouth and Christ Frantz.
Holy cow, it's a dog that can drive! Sort of. Granted, we've seen dogs driving actual cars before, but this one is an enormous dog in a tiny Power Wheels. Plus he has no idea how to steer. The technical skill may not be as impressive as those w
Most of the time our fear of heights is ridiculous. We can admit that. This time, however ... BOOM! WE KNEW IT! AIN'T NOBODY SHOULD BE GETTING MARRIED IN A HOT AIR BALLOON!
You might think that children are the only people capable of being delighted to the point of preciousness at the sight of a new puppy, but you would be wrong. Look at this manly dad, for example. He bangs on a car, covers his face with adorable fists, and does a little dance
Anybody who thinks Reddit is just for misogyny and creepy porn is only PARTLY right. They do their fair share of good as well. The story of a man dying of cancer is one such instance. Thanks to the good people of Reddit this loyal Trekkie will get to see some, if not all, of the new 'Star Trek' movie before he dies, thanks to the one and only J.J. Abrams.
