Aww Rats! 12th Street Kroger Temporarily Shut Down

The Louisiana Department of Health issued a notice of violation today for the Kroger on 12th Street in Lake Charles. 

The violations listed are pretty cut and dry as to why they are closed "temporarily."

According to the report, rodent droppings were found on utensils used along with surfaces that come in contact with food. They found rodents present inside of the establishment, and even flies. The other violation cited to Store 995 (how fitting), was non-maintained plumbing. No wonder the rodents were pooping everywhere, the bathrooms weren't working!
