The Louisiana Beerfest is back in Lake Charles this weekend.

The second annual festival -- which is scheduled to be held at the Lake Charles Civic Center 12 noon to 6 p.m.-- will kick off this Saturday (May 19) with more than 200 featured beers.

The festival is also a competition for many home brewers-- who compete in this year's Second Annual Cajun Classic Home Brew Contest-- both local and Texas brewers.

General Admission tickets are $35 dollars while VIP tickets are $65 dollars.

Festival organizers said the goal of the Louisiana Beer Fest

is dedication to bringing the world of beer to the Bayou State.
