NEW ORLEANS (AP) — A man in New Orleans has told police that after a minor traffic accident, another driver followed him and then beat him over the head with a baseball bat.

The driver accused in the beating on Sunday works a behavioral interventionist at a local high school.

NOLA.com/The Times-Picayune reports that police on Monday arrested 41-year-old Wilbert Gray on a charge of aggravated battery. His bond was set at $10,000. Records show he is no longer being held in jail.

The Landry Walker High School website shows Gray works as an academic and behavioral interventionist. Gray did not immediately return a call to The Associated Press on Thursday, and it wasn't clear whether he is represented by an attorney.
