The rumors are true. The 4 year old Blue Dog Cafe located in Downtown Lake Charles has closed its doors for good. Blue Dog has just brought in and showed off their new Chef Ryan Trahan, the King of American Seafood.  KPLC first broke the news along with a statement from from the owner, Jacques Rodrigue.

“Blue Dog Café can confirm that we recently shut the doors to our Lake Charles location. Our team is incredibly grateful to the many patrons who supported us over the last three years. We’ve greatly enjoyed servicing this wonderful community and hope to see everyone at our Lafayette location sometime soon.”

Don't worry, your Blue Dog fix can still be attained. The Lafayette store still remains open, and even has a new chef and menu selection. The new menu change, according to The Advocate, eliminates the famous Sunday Brunch and adds in an a la carte menu for brunch.

Why did the Blue Dog Cafe close? Location? Management? Food? No real solid info on it, so I guess we just have to wait for the Facebook Rumors.

In 2018, Blue Dog even made a commercial showing off their brand new Chef!
