Calcasieu Parish Police Jury Announces Road Closure

What perfect timing for a road closure during the first week of school. The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury announced on their Facebook page that starting August 15, You Winn Road will have both of its lanes closed down. The closure will begin at 630am and reopen that same day at 5pm.

Crews will be working to upgrade the cross drains on the road to improve drainage in that area. The work will take place 80ft North of the first curve going east on You Winn Rd from LA Hwy 171, according to the release.

Traffic may detour around You Winn Road using Verna Lane and South Kingston: West to Hwy 171 and east to Goos Road.
