Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Dept. Conducts DWI/Seat-belt Checkpoint Friday

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office has sent a press release that they will be conducting a DWI/seat-belt Checkpoint Friday night Aug. 8 at an undisclosed location in the parish. This checkpoint is to discourage drivers from driving while impaired and encourage them to designate a driver. And be sure to always buckle up because seat-belts save lives.The Louisiana Highway Safety Commission funded a grant for this checkpoint.
