One Cameron Parish family is trying to figure out what to do after their shrimping boats caught fire last week and are no longer seaworthy.

According to KPLC, welding repairs were being made to one of the boats.  Apparently, leftover heat or sparks ignited and engulfed three boats -- the Bossy Paige, The Captain Channing and the Proud Spirit.  The fire broke out at around 2 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 19.

Now friends and family are banding together to help raise money to get the family back on their feet.  A bank account has been set up at Iberia Bank to help people donate.  Tell them you want to donate to the "Terry Mock Relief Find."  Friends and family have also set up a page on fundraising site GoFundMe.com where people can donate to help get the family back on its feet.  A total of six families depended on those boats for a living, and those families are all related.
