City of Lake Charles/Team Green Participate in Nationwide Beach Sweep

September 20 is the date of the date for the nationwide Beach Sweep and Inland Waterway Cleanup 2014 with local sponsorship from the City of Lake Charles and Team Green of Southwest Louisiana.

Said Randy Roach, Mayor of the City of Lake Charles:
“This is a wonderful opportunity to contribute to keeping our environment clean. With everyone’s help – our recreational groups, service clubs, families and individuals – we can make a real impact in the cleanup of our area’s beaches and shorelines and keep our waterways beautiful.”

Said Mason Lindsay with Team Green of Southwest Louisiana:
“Team Green is asking for volunteers who will be helping keep our area beautiful and environmentally safe. As well, they will also be giving back to the community.”
