So last night the 49th Annual CMA Awards aired on ABC and let me tell you, it rocked. There were some winners of awards we just knew were going to win and then there we winners we said huh?

Then let's talk about the performances.  I am not a big fan of the artists from other genres of music coming in to the country scene but let me tell ya, Justin Timberlake and Chris Stapleton performance was awesome.

But and yes I know there is always a but, some of the performances left me just saying "What the Heck?

First I agree with the buzz that everyone else is talking about in reference to the Justin Timberlake and Chris Stapleton performance.  Chris and Justin's take on the old George Jones song "Tennessee Whiskey" was unbelievable!  The song was originally released by George Jones back in 1983.  Chris Stapleton released that song this year on his Traveller album.

The performance I found most weird was Kacey Musgraves.  Not so much the song but the outfit!  What the heck was that?  See the picture below.

See what I mean.  She is a little odd for my taste.  Since I am a college football fan, I really liked Brad Paisley's performance of "Country Nation" with a bunch of the college football mascots dancing in the backround.  It was cool.  In the picture below you can even see LSU Tigers mascot  "Mike The Tiger" on the left.
