Country Music Legend Mickey Gilley To Perform In Vinton Saturday

Here you go classic country music fans.  Legendary country music artist Mickey Gilley is coming to Southwest Louisiana this Saturday night to perform live in concert!

The 80 year old singer will be performing all his hits live.  I had the chance to see him live last year and let me tell you it was one great concert.  He started his concert off stating that he was going to start with the beginning of his career and roll through the decades and that is exactly what he did.

His concert featured video's of him on shows like "Hee Haw" and video clips from the ever popular movie "Urban Cowboy" which was mostly filmed in his old bar Gilley's in Pasadena, Texas.

You may not realize this but other than the fact the Mickey Gilley's career started in 1964, it spans over 52 years now.  Gilley has had 27 studio albums, 41 singles and 20 number one hits.

You will hear songs like "Don't the Girls Get Prettier At Closing Time, Stand By Me, Talk To Me, and Here Comes The Hurt again" just to name a few.

Mickey Gilley will be at Delta Downs Racetrack, Casino and Hotel this Saturday night April 30th.  He will hit the stage at 7:00 p.m.
