Don’t Drink and Drive – Sobriety Checkpoint Saturday

Drinking and driving is a big problem not only in SW Louisiana but all over the country. Louisiana State Police and all law enforcement agencies are working very hard to remove impaired drivers from the roadways before they cause injury or death to others or themselves. Louisiana State Police Troop D will be conducting a DWI Checkpoint on Saturday April 6, 2013 from approximately 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. at an undisclosed location of Calcasieu Parish. If you will be drinking this weekend please designate a driver. The message from Louisiana State Police is " Drive sober or get pulled over. To report impaired drivers, motorists are encouraged to dial *LSP(*577) from their cellular phone or to contact their local law enforcement agency."
