Dust Off Your Clubs, Top Golf is Coming to Louisiana!

If a night club, a bowling alley, and a driving range had some sort of love child, they'd name it Top Golf. Founded in England in 2000, Top Golf has grown world-wide as one of the most entertaining golfing experiences. From the sports bar inside, to the music pumping through the speakers on the range. It is certainly not your typical driving range.

I've visited the one in Houston and stayed for hours losing track of time along the way, and gaining weight eating and drinking. With its multi-levels to hit from, you also can chose to use their clubs or bring your own. Each driving spot has its own wait staff to bring you all the food and beverages you want to buy as you play against your friends. The holes on the range light up and the entire thing is what one would call a "smart range" perhaps. Each ball has an RFID chip inside of it that, once hit, will tell you have far it was hit, where it landed, and who hit it. The games built in are endless: longest drive, closest to the pin, and even chip shots to name a few.

Now, Louisiana is getting one in Baton Rouge! It will occupy the old Tinseltown movie theater on Siege Lane and should open late 2018 or early 2019. This particular one coming to Louisiana doesn't seem to be a typical "oh lets just throw one in Louisiana, but not include the bells and whistles". It will have 72 climate controlled hitting areas and a private event space boasting 1,500 square feet. Not to mention the sports bar and all of the amazing food they serve.
