I am two years cancer free!  This is awesome news, since I have been worried for a few weeks, waiting with anxiety for my PET Scan appointment Wednesday (see picture above).  Yesterday, my Oncologist called with the results----NO EVIDENCE OF DISEASE.  Yes, I can exhale and take a moment to just breathe.  Cancer does not define me.  Three years ago, July of 2012, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Large B-Cell Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.  I began a tough regimen of eight rounds of the R-CHOP chemotherapy and one year of a maintenance medicine, Rituxan.  Losing my hair, nausea, and all other side affects masked how I really felt.  I had cancer.....it always happens to other people, not me.

The blessings of living through a horrible disease like cancer is the new friends, opportunities, and outlook I have after beating it.  I am so thankful that I am alive and have a story to tell.  Case in point, I would have NEVER believed I would be a Gator 99.5 Morning Show Co-Host with Kris St. James.  God opens doors when you least expect it, and all we have to do is believe HE will lead us through.  HAPPY CANCER TWO-YEAR-FREE-DAY TO ME!

My honey and I, during my cancer treatment, Christmas 2012.
