Back in the day, I loved to have a good time; nothing really has changed all that much.  The year was 1995, Rocky Mountain jeans and Ropers were the staple in my closet.  Country music was becoming more mainstream and I was on the front line of the country music bar scene in Beaumont, Texas.  My best friend Sherry had a Mazda MX-3, cute little sports car that if it could talk....the stories it would tell.  Sherry had a single cassette with a song on each side, Shania Twain's 'Any Man Of Mine' on one side and 'Who's Bed Have Your Boots Been Under' on the other side.  We would grab our tall boys with a ghetto koozie (16oz Miller Lite with a brown bag) and head to the clubs blaring that cassette and singing at the top of our lungs as it played over and over and over.

Sherry and I loved to travel from Beaumont to Lake Charles and visit the area clubs so we could dance and listen to music.  From Cutters in Beaumont, to Cowboys in Lake Charles, blaring our "song" and probably having too much fun.  Many many memories that we laugh about every time we get together.  What I wouldn't give for one more night with my girlfriends singing that song at the top of our lungs?  The good old days of my 20's: freedom, ice cold beer, and good music.

Happy 20th anniversary, Shania Twain, for your first #1 hit back in 1995...'Any Man Of Mine'.
