From October of 2006 til November of 2012 I lived in West Point, Nebraska. The first three years I worked for a station owned by the Rural Radio Network.

KTIC would put on a promotion called the Great Nebraska Tractor Ride. 200 tractors and their riders traveling slower than molasses for an entire day. They would stop every two hours for breaks and lunch. We would arrive at our destination by supper time and spend the night at whatever hotel selected for the promotion.

The routes changed yearly. I remember some years where I saw some of the most beautiful sceneries. KTIC puts it on every Father's Day Weekend.

Tractor Ride was one of many opportunities to experience a different culture. Thank for the memories.
