Fall is just around the corner; pumpkin spice lattes, boots, leggings and football.  My second favorite season of the year, Fall brings childhood memories back of Halloween, pumpkins, and the smell of burning leaves.  Fall fashion is really fun, I like to wear what I have in my closet and re-work it to fit cool, crisp days.  I love when spring/summer items can be converted to fit a Fall look.  Add knee boots with culottes or crop pants; pair them with a cowl-neck sweater, or long-sleeve T with a cardigan, makes for a nice office-to-drinks look.  I then jazz up my outfits with jewelry, making a day-to-night look that will fit with my budget.  I like to pair that summer frock with opaque tights, booties and a Fall, lightweight jacket, making for a nice look for dinner and a movie on a crisp, cool Fall night.  I may throw on a scarf. add a pop of color or a fun hat to help the bad hair days that the dryer air seems to bring.  I even have a few hats that I wear with my boots and culottes, funky look but they are fun when a ponytail just won't do.

I like to shop consignment shops, New-to-you Consignment, Plato's Closet, or Encore are a few in Lake Charles that I frequent.  All I need to do is buy a few seasonal items like a few new pants, or a couple of long-sleeve T's and I have new outfits that don't break the bank.   I dislike paying full price for anything!  But, I will splurge on shoes.  I can never have to many shoes or boots on hand for that chilly-in-the-morning-but-warm-in-the-afternoon SWLA Fall day.  My tip for you:  have fun mixing and matching Summer-to-Fall outfits, from your own closet!  Your wallet will thank you.
