In the late 1970's many parents brought their children to see him. Many  more Louisiana children watched his television show that was broadcast out of Monroe. The next few days will likely find "Mr. Wonder" as he was known on television back under the glare of TV lights. He is expected to be extradited from California back to Rapides Parish to face multiple charges of misusing children.

Frank Selas who was once known as Mr. Wonder has been charged with two counts of aggravated rape, three counts of sexual battery, and eight counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile. He was arrested earlier this year in San Diego. He and his legal advisors been fighting extradition back to Louisiana to face those charges.

This has been a process that we have had going on now since his arrest in late January. He will now be extradited back to Rapides Parish where he will stand trial.

Those are the comments as reported by the Louisiana Radio Network of Lt. Tommy Carnline of the Rapides Parish Sheriff's office.

The crimes Selas is alleged to have committed happened on camping trips he took with young boys during his time on TV as Mr. Wonder. He would often host camping trips with youngsters from the Monroe area to wilderness areas located in Rapides Parish. It is believed that is where these crimes occurred.

There is not a specific timeline for when Selas will be brought back to Alexandria to appear in court.

We have almost a month to get this done, but we’ll have to fly out there and then bring him back and get him back to Rapides Parish as possible.

While the process has been slow, authorities in Rapides Parish say it is a small price to pay for bringing a criminal to justice.

That’s where we’ll get closure and hopefully justice for these victims after 37 years.
