Do you want the bad news or the good news first?  Well, if you're like me, you want to get the bad news out the way.

The website FiveThirtyEight took the time out their day to read 1,035 different fortune cookies to see what wisdom they were dropping on our lives.

They found the fortunes themselves were pretty bland and well, silly.  Only 22.3% of them actually made a prediction about your future.

So that was the bad news...here's the good news!  And it's potentially life changing news!

It may seem crazy, but the "lucky numbers" on the fortunes were actually solid winners.

They ran a simulation and found that if you played numbers you picked or choose to do a quick pick for 1,000 entries into every Powerball in the past 10 years, you would've lost $2.5 million.

BUT, if you would have played the fortune cookie numbers, you'd be up $172,000 in that same time period!

Guess I'm eating Chinese for lunch!
