Are you ready to bring in Christmas Cajun style?  Well tonight the City of Lake Charles will host their Cajun Christmas Concert featuring Grammy award winners Wayne Toups and Steve Riley.

The event will take place inside the Lake Charles Civic Center at the Rosa Heart Theatre.

Matt Young with the city of Lake Charles tells us:

The City of Lake Charles will present A Cajun Christmas Concert on Thursday, December 22 in the Rosa Hart Theatre at 7:00 pm. Grammy winner Steve Riley will perform with his famous Mamou Playboys. Said Riley, “We are looking forward to the holidays this year with the release of our Christmas record, “Party at the Holiday, All Night Long!”, on Valcour Records.

The legendary Hall-of-Famer and Grammy winner, Wayne Toups will appear as a special guest. The show will open with the New Orleans-style Dixieland band called Pelican 212, led by 11-year-old twin brothers Max and Kolbe Rees. Max and Kolbe are two of ten children in this harmonious family. The eldest Rees performer is Katie on guitar. Then there's Angelle on piano and drums, Marie who plays trombone and bass, Giovanni on trumpet, and Mollie on trumpet and drums. The band recently appeared on Steve Harvey’s “Little Big Shots”.
