Enjoy toe-tapping music and a south Louisiana delicacy this Saturday at the Gulf Coast Jazz & Shrimp Festival at the Lake Charles Civic Center.

Organizers have lined up a terrific entertainment schedule: Two-time Grammy nominee Mickey Smith, Jr, Jazz In The Arts Internship Band, David Locklear, Bluesiana Red, and Dave Duplissey.

The entire family is welcome, as the festival features an "All That Jazz" kids zone, complete with crafts, face painting, and henna tattoos.

In addition to providing exceptional music and fun, the festival encourages attendees to bring musical instruments they may have and are no longer using to donate to the MusicMakers2U program. These instruments will be cleaned and refubished, and then donated to children who are interested in music buy may not otherwise be able to afford to purchase one of their own.

The Gulf Coast Jazz & Shrimp Festival will take place from 11AM until 5PM. Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children 12 and under.
