Gwen Stefani was honored at Glamour magazine's annual Woman of the Year event in Los Angeles recently, and the singer had much to be thankful for. Accepting her honor, Stefani spoke about her tumultuous year and thanked her country beau Blake Shelton for helping her through it.

"I was so low that I didn't think there was any way I could pick myself back up," she told the audience of her divorce from Gavin Rossdale during her acceptance speech.

Thankfully, Shelton was there to help bring Stefani out of her lowest spot.

“To Blake Shelton for kissing me back to life, thank you so much,” Stefani continued. “I am blown away, I’m blown away by this room of unbelievable courage. It’s unbelievable to be here tonight. I am really, really grateful.”

In a previous interview with Glamour, Stefani said that she feels like she "got woken up this year" and her music and friendship with Shelton helped her immensely.

"I’m in a different place now, [and] that is the past for me. I’m in such a new place. It’s all about the future for me. Not really just the future -- but the moment right now," she said. "When I was in the studio for This Is What the Truth Feels Like, it was like, I need to be here right now . . . It doesn’t matter what comes out of this, as far as my career -- this isn’t about a hit. It’s about saving my life. And it was interesting, because I know you’re going to ask me about Blake, but finding somebody who was going through the exact same experience? That was an inspiration. He was a friend to me when I needed a friend. An unexpected gift. And that became an inspiration in the songwriting."
