Country music's Joe Diffie is celebrating his 57th birthday today.  Joe started his career in 1989 which some now classify the 1980's country music as classic country.  He also rocked a pretty legit mullet back in the day!

Joe was born on this day in Tulsa, Oklahoma and at the age of four he was already on stage performing.  Music is in his blood.  Joe hit the Nashville scene and signed with Epic Nashville and recorded his first album and released it in 1990.

It didn't take long for Joe to hit number one.  His first release "Home" went straight to the top of the charts.  Joe Diffie has had five number one songs in his career including the one I just mentioned plus  "If the Devil Danced (In Empty Pockets),"Third Rock from the Sun," "Pickup Man" and "Bigger Than the Beatles.".

My favorite song by Joe is a song called "So help me girl" which almost made it to the number one spot on the charts but fell a little short and stiffed at number 2.  Here is the video from that song:

Happy Birthday Joe Diffie, Thanks for the great music and the rocking mullet you had back then!
