Happy Birthday USS Orleck DD – 886

Yes this weekend marks the 69th anniversary of the launch of the USS Orleck DD -886. Built in 1945 in Orange, Texas the Orleck was launched May 12, 1945 into the Sabine River. She served proudly in Korea and Vietnam and is highly decorated. She is now docked in Lake Charles and proudly serves as a Naval Museum.
