Upon entering Central School, visitors will be guided by elevator operators who will take small groups throughout the third floor’s haunted house. Creepy characters from Medusa and evil witches to mad scientists and Igor will lurk around every corner. While stocking up on their favorite candy, children can get their faces painted, then visit the Central School Theater to meet spooky clowns, enchanting magicians, and balloon animal makers. Afterwards, families can gather around an open bonfire for chilling ghost stories and even more surprises. Come dressed up in your Halloween best and join the fun!

While there is no admission into the Central School Haunted House, donations to the Friends of Central School are welcome. The Friends group will be selling commemorative bricks and Christmas ornaments (celebrating the historic building’s centennial anniversary) at the event to help fund and support improvement projects at Central School Arts and Humanities Center. For more information or to volunteer in the haunted house, contact the Arts Council at (337) 439-2787.
