Have to Travel to Mississippi? I-10 Will be Closed at the Border for Two Weekends

If you need to head over the Mississippi border for the next couple of weekends, don't take Interstate 10. State Police officials report the Pearl River Bridge will be closed for repairs on the following days:

• 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17 through 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20.
• 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24 through 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27

It's going to be a traffic nightmare, so you may want to take the following detours:

• Highway 90, as usual
• U.S. 11 north to I-59 north to Mississippi Hwy. 43 then back south to I-10.
