Is a Duck Dynasty Star Going to Run For Congress?

The word is "he's thinking about it". Willie Robertson is the subject of debate.Now it seems that some members of the Republican Party think that Willie would make a good congressman. According to the Washington Examiner, some Republicans are urging Robertson to run for an open congressional seat here in Louisiana. Name recognition is only part of the reason state Republicans like the man. For one thing, Robertson is a self made millionaire. More to the point, he is a conservative self made millionaire. Robertson is also (obviously) an active supporter of gun rights and refers quite often to the fact that he is a Christian.The man does seem to have all the qualifications to run for office. Do you think the beard would hurt his chances? People do seem to like their politicians clean shaven, don’t they? I’m sure there will be a follow-up on this story.
