Jake Owen Might Sing About Marijuana, But He Doesn’t Condone It

Jake Owen sings the lyrics, "Nag Champa and marijuana, I close my eyes and I can smell it on her" in his song LAX, but that doesn't mean he thinks people should be smoking weed.

In a recent interview, someone asked Jake about the pot inspired lyrics, which was probably a low key way of asking him if he likes to get high. The country crooner responded by saying, "I'm not gonna condone the use of any illegal drugs, but I think it's okay to reference things that are true to whoever that artist is that's singing.  That's what music is: say what's the truth. Say what's on your heart."

So, basically Jake Owen is a hippie. I mean, look at those bare feet, rolled jeans, and the VW van on his album cover!
