So we all know about the devastating floods here in Louisiana over the past few days.  Areas like Eunice, Lafayette, Jennings, Lake Arthur and Baton Rouge are just some of the cities that have been hard hit.

Well local Jeep club "Seven Slots Society of SWLA" has teamed up with a local business in the Sulphur/Carlyss area to take donations for flood victims.

Two 18 wheeler's are set up at Wayne's bar and deli located on Hwy 27 South in Sulphur. Some of the items they are looking to be donated include:

  • Water
  • Non Perishable Food items
  • Toiletries
  • Can Openers
  • Dog and Cat Food
  • Baby Items such as diapers, food and wipes
  • Boxes
  • Mosquito Spray

The jeep club and the 18 wheeler's will be out at Wayne's Deli from 8am to noon today.  Then they will be heading to take the donations to the Lafayette and Baton Rouge areas to drop off items to be distributed to those two areas and all the smaller communities as well.
