Last Saturday night in Crowley Louisiana several thousand folks showed up for the 79th International Crowley Rice Festival.  The festival is one of the largest in the state and went on for four days from October 15th through the 19th.

This year's festival was chopped full of great entertainment from local Cajun and Zydeco musicians like Wayne Toups, Geno Delafose, Steve Riley Kevin Naquin and more.  They also had local country artists like Blaine Roy and Nikel Beer.

Nationally the artists included Daryle Singletary, Charlie Rivers, and Charlie Daniels.  Well Saturday night the Charlie Daniels Band hit the stage at 10:30 p.m. and during his performance he brought on a very familiar Cajun and Country artist everyone from around here knows, Jo-El Sonnier.

Charlie Daniels announced Jo-El and brought him on stage and Jo-El joined Charlie and the band performing "The South Is going To Do It Again."  Here is the video of that performance.

Last night I had the great honor to once again, play with my friend Charlie Daniels and all the great musicians that make up his band. What a class act they are.
