Louisiana's oldest agricultural celebration, The International Rice Festival, is this weekend in Crowley. Multi-platinum recording artist Joe Diffie will round out the entertainment line-up with a performance on the main stage Saturday night.

The best part? It's a free festival!

The festival takes place in historic downtown Crowley beginning on Thursday night. The main stage is situated on the south side of the city's court circle, and the main street downtown serves as the festival grounds, which extend to the railroad tracks.

Other entertainment includes Wayne Toups, Bag O' Donuts, Dustin Sonnier, Geno Delafosse, and Travis Matte. Additionally, the festival features a carnival, all the food you expect from a south Louisiana shindig, and an arts and crafts fair in Crowley's Levy Park. A local baptist church hosts Harvest Fest, a free, non-alcoholic, family-friendly event just a couple blocks off main street.
