Keith Urban is not only one of the most recognized artists within the country genre, but he is also a fan of country music. The singer recently shared that one of his favorite recent singles is Miranda Lambert's "Vice." Backstage at the Grand Ole Opry, Urban decided to cover the song acoustically.

“I'm going to play you guys a snippet of a song that I love at the moment," he said, seated backstage with his acoustic guitar. "I’ve never played this so Miranda, bear with me, but this is a great song, even if it is weird that a guy is holding shoes in his hand at 7AM.”

The 40-second performance alone on acoustic guitar brought the evident heartbreak to the forefront of the song with Urban's soft, tender vocals. Watch his performance of "Vice" above.

Lambert released “Vice” in the summer of 2016 as the lead single to her album, The Weight of These Wings. She co-wrote the song with Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne, and says it was penned “at the exact time of the s–t hitting the fan,” alluding to her divorce from Blake Shelton in 2015.

“Sometimes when you’re going through something in your life, you may run to some things you shouldn’t and run from some things you shouldn’t,” Lambert shares. “I think this song is an opportunity to just be honest and own it and say, ‘Yeah, I have some imperfections, and I live a life, and here and there I might get in a pickle.’ It’s not about one thing or another. Everybody has a vice they run to when they need comfort, and I think that’s what this song says.”

“Vice,” was nominated for two Grammy Awards in the Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Song categories at the 59th annual ceremony in February.

“To have such a personal song as #vice be nominated means the world,” she posted after the Grammy nominations were announced.
