Kelsea Ballerini Opening for Billy Currington
Newcomer Kelsea Ballerini has been getting her feet wet by opening for Billy Currington and getting ready to release her freshman album "The First Time".
During her shows, her fans will notice a trend that's become popular with many stars recently; adding their favorite songs from other singers into their sets!! Thomas Rhett is a huge Bruno Mars fan and has added a couple of his tunes into his sets, while Ballerini has added a 90's medley. When asked why she went with a 90's medley for a country concert, she says it's all of the songs she loves mashed up into one song, and it turned out to be the favorite part of the show for the entire band. It's described as a "lightning-round" of covers she grew up listening to, such as Britney Spears.
Ballerini just released the video for "Love Me Like You Mean It", with her album coming out on May 19th. It appears that she already has a big fan in Taylor Swift, who tweeted about listening to her back in March, which can't be a bad thing right?
