Lake Charles Fire Department Accepting Applications For Firefighters

Are you looking for a career change?  Is your calling public service and protecting the community where you live?  Well then this is for you.

The Lake Charles Fire Department has announced that they are now accepting applications for the position of Firefighter.  Applications can be picked up at the Lake Charles Fire administration office which is located 4200 Kirkman Street in Lake Charles from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.  Applications will be accepted until April 22nd, 2016.

According to Chief Keith Murray of the Lake Charles Fire Department, the starting pay for a firefighter for the City of Lake Charles $29,411 per year.  Plus after your first year of service you receive supplemental pay for be certified and that is an extra $500 per month bringing your total after your first year to $35,411 per year.
