If you are from the Lake Charles area or a LSU Fan, then you know the name Eddie Kennison.  Eddie Kennison is from Lake Charles and played for the Washington Marion Charging Indians during his high school career.

Kennison was highly recruited by LSU where he ultimately decided to go to play college football.  Kennison didn't just play football for the tigers he was also a standout track star.  Eddie was a six-time All-American at LSU and was a big part of an NCAA champion 4x100-meter relay team for the tigers.

Kennison then decided to enter the NFL draft and was picked 18th overall in the first round by the then St. Louis Rams in 1996.  Eddie played for St. Louis for five teams during his 13 year NFL career.

Eddie Kennison played for the St. Louis Rams for three season then one season with the New Orleans Saints, Chicago Bears, and Denver Broncos.  Then he found his permanent home in 2001 when he went to the Kansas City Chiefs where he played for 7 years before he retired.
