Lake Charles Police Department Recruitment Day This Saturday Sept. 24

A few weeks ago, we gave you the heads up on how you can make a difference in the Southwest Louisiana community when the Lake Charles Police Department (LCPD) announced that they will hold a recruitment day.

Well, the time has come! The LCPD is looking for an elite group of men and women to join the force and serve the Lake Charles community, and it all starts this Saturday, September 24th.

Candidates looking to make a career change or to join the force will need to be at the Lake Charles Civic Center this Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. sharp, and be ready to perform in physical agility tests.

The tests consist of running a half of a mile, sit-ups and pushups.

You must be at least 21 years of age, must be a United States Citizen, must have a clean driving record, and you must have no felony convictions. (Certain misdemeanors are also disqualifying, and candidates must pass a background investigation, including a polygraph.
