Today in Tha Wire CNN reports very little is known about the current state of former basketball star Lamar Odom's condition.  As officials continue to investigate what left him unconscious, a few more details have emerged about his stay at the Vegas brothel.

Ironically most of the info is coming from the Love Ranch owner, Dennis Hof, who according to CNN revealed Odom spent $75,000 for a VIP suite and two women.  In addition to cocaine it's being reported that the 35-year old athlete took 10 tablets of the herbal Viagra, Reload, over the course of his three day stay at the ranch.

Reload is being described as an unregulated supplement that can lower a persons blood pressure to dangerous levels. In fact their saying it's not Viagra at all.  Two years ago the FDA issued a strong warning about the drug saying "Consumers should stop using this product immediately and throw it away."

CNN also reports that Lamar Odom was supposed to be airlifted by helicopter after being found unconscious at the ranch.  He was first treated on site by responding paramedics and was then taken to Dessert View Hospital, 20 miles away in Pahrump, Nevada.  From there medics wanted to transport him by air to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, but his 6'10" stature made that impossible, so they were force to make the hour drive by ambulance instead.

As the former NBA star quietly fights for his life, his family is rallying and praying for the best.  In a statement Thursday (October 15), his children Destiny and Lamar Odom Jr. asked for prayers.

"Thanks for your outpouring of prayers and support for our dad. We are here with our family and friends.  We appreciate everyone respecting our privacy at this time. We ask for your continued prayers."

His 89-year old grandmother, Florence Odom, is devastated and is reportedly unable to be at his bedside because of her disabilities. She is also, very upset about what's being said about her grandson telling CNN, "I know Lamar didn't do the things they are saying he did. ... He's beautiful," she said. " If you ever were to meet him you would say the same. I don't listen to gossip."

I hope she's right.  As everyone holds out hope for Lamar Odom to pull through, as this story continues to develop we will keep you posted.  For even more details click here.
