We know Louisiana country music fans really appreciate a good pickup truck, the military and God, but how does the Sportsman's Paradise rank as a state that's most like a country song?

Real estate website Estately took several popular themes of country music and measured them against real-life statistics culled from each state.

Louisiana's rank? No. 4. Not bad! The three states ranked above Louisiana are Missouri (no.3), Texas (no. 2) and Oklahoma (no. 1).

Estately had this to say about Louisiana: "When you’re sad and lonely and got no place to go you can always go honkey tonkin’ in Louisiana. Always."

Can't argue there; we are all about that honky-tonk!

The full rundown of the site's criteria is as follows: pickup truck sales; alcohol consumption; number of people divorced/separated; the importance of religion; number of cattle; number of country musicians from the state inducted in the Country Music Hall of Fame; miles of unpaved dirt roads; active military personnel; and unemployment rate.

Here's the full top 10 list of states that are most like a country song

  1. Oklahoma
  2. Texas
  3. Missouri
  4. Louisiana
  5. Arkansas
  6. Kansas
  7. North Dakota
  8. Kentucky
