Louisiana State Police Holding Free Child Seat Safety Check

The Louisiana State Police along with the Beauregard Sheriff's Office will be holding a free child seat safety check this Saturday.

This event is to help parents, grand parents and care givers the chance to make sure they have the proper child seat installed in their vehicle.

Sgt. James Anderson with the LSP said<

While supplies last, free booster seats (with harnesses and without) will be provided for children meeting the following criteria:

Child and vehicle must be present

Child must weigh from 25 to 110 pounds

Child must be less than 4 feet 9 inches tall

Child must be at least 2 years old

Only one seat per child

The free child safety seat check event will take place at Green Chevrolet located at 307 East First Street in DeRidder, Louisiana from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
