The webforum Tiger Droppings has been the nucleus for a viral GoFund Me intiative to place billboards around the SEC Headquarters in Birmingham, AL. The billboards simply say #FreeDevinWhite. The linebacker was ejected from the game last week as a result of "targeting" as he attempted to tackle Nick Fitzgerald, QB for Mississippi State. After reviewing the replay of the hit, the ruling stood, and White was ejected. With the penalty happening in the second half of the game, White will also be suspended for the first half of the upcoming LSU/Alabama game as well on November 3.

According to the GoFund Me Page that was set up to purchase the billboards, the signage will run for 2 weeks right next to the SEC Headquarters with #FreeDevinWhite to let the SEC know that LSU fans are serious about what they believe was a poor call on the officials' part. A billboard in downtown Birmingham was priced at $2,305 for the two week run and another on I-65 is $1,845, according to the write up on the page. As of today, the goal of $4,105 was reached and exceeded by over $2,000. This leaves the opportunity for more signage to be placed. According to the page, any excess monies collected after this campaign will be donated back to LSU School of Veterinary Medicine due to Devin's passion for horses.
