The LSU Tigers football team will finally see action in Tiger stadium today.  That is because LSu's first home game against McNeese back on September 5th was cancelled due to weather and lightning.  The Tigers will finally be able to play a whole game at home today.

LSU is 1-0 on the year after squeaking out a victory against Mississippi State last week.  They will take on the Auburn Tigers who had a huge scare of their own almost being upset by Jacksonville state last week.  It took Auburn overtime to eak out a victory.

Auburn however suffered big in the polls for that almost upset.  They fell from #6 in the AP poll to #18 while LSU moved up to #13.

This will be the Tigers SEC home opener on September 19th against Auburn will be nationally televised.

The LSU/Auburn football game kicks off 2:30 p.m. this afternoon and will be televised on CBS.
