Every one is comparing LSU sophomore running back Leonard Fournette to some of the greatest running backs of all time.  They are saying he is the next Herschel Walker, Earl Campbell or Marshall Faulk and he is also the front runner this year for the Heisman Trophy.

Well Leonard Fournette has landed on the cover of this week's issue of Sports Illustrated which is a pretty huge honor.  The cover of the latest issue features Leonard Fournette in his LSU white jersey standing on the 50 yard line at Tigers Stadium.

In only five games so far this year, Fournette has carried the ball 119 times for a mind blowing 1022 yards and 12 touchdowns.  What is more staggering is that every time Fournette touches the ball he averages 8.6 yards per rush.  Wow!

On the cover of the magazine you will see a quote from Leonard Fournette.  He says, "Thank you for the comparisons, but 5-0 LSU Tiger will do just fine."

The LSU Tigers and Leonard Fournette will be back in action this Saturday October 17th when they take on #8 Florida at Tigers stadium.  That game kicks off at 6:00 p.m. and will televised on ESPN.
