Luke Bryan took time from his beach vacation to be a good samaritan. The singer helped a Florida sheriff get his truck unstuck from the muddy sand and surf.

Twitter pictures show Bryan at first looking down the beach, then returning with a long wooden board, then helping to wedge it beneath the front left tire. The singer shared a fan's photos of the incident without adding comment.

Jake Jones, the beachgoer who took the photos, tells Taste of Country they were taken in early July in Walton County Fla. Bryan owns a home in South Walton, Fla., and opened a cigar shop in the area recently. The singer looks like he spent a significant amount of time there around the Fourth of July. He also shared a funny picture from a fishing trip he took with his son:

Bryan says he’s looking forward to a fishing trip to celebrate his upcoming 40th birthday, which is on July 17. He admits he wasn’t looking forward to the milestone year, however.

“Thirty hit me pretty hard,” the star tells ET Canada, “40 will hit me pretty hard [too].”

Bryan's Kill the Lights Tour should keep him busy during his birthday month. He plays back-to-back shows in Boston this weekend before his actual birthday show in Bangor, Maine. Little Big Town and Dustin Lynch are opening most of the tour dates.
