McNeeese Football Ranked Number Nine in Poll

Southwest Louisiana is buzzing! Cowboy football is right around the corner and the Pokes are looking for a great season. They start off the year ranked number nine in one preseason poll.

Three teams from the Southland Conference found themselves ranked in the top 25 in the FCS Coaches Poll. Southeastern Louisiana ranks number three in the poll. The Cowboys come in at number nine and Sam Houston State takes number 14. Of course we all know that it is more important to be ranked high at the end of the season; but it is still nice to get some national recognition.
