McNeese Cowboys Jump Three Spots In Latest Football Polls

The McNeese Cowboys beat Northwestern State 30-22 last Saturday night in Cowboy Stadium.  With the win, the McNeese Cowboys improved to 4-1 on the season and (1-1) in Southland conference play.

The win was also good enough to move the Cowboys up in the latest Sports Network poll and FCS Coaches polls.

McNeese climbed from No. 24 to 21 in The Sports Network poll and moved up three spots to No. 18 in the FCS Coaches poll.

The Cowboys are open this weekend but will return to action on Oct. 13 in a home game against Central Arkansas, No. 24 in this week's Sports Network and 20^th in the coaches poll.

North Dakota State remains the top team in both polls.

The McNeese Cowboys are off this week and will prepare for the "Red Beans and Rice" bowl against Central Arkansas on Saturday October 13th in Lake Charles.
