McNeese Cowboys Stay Undefeated in Homecoming Shootout

Tonight, I had the chance to go to the McNeese Homecoming game tonight.  I stood on the sidelines and got to see first hand how good the Cowboys football team really are and let me tell you, they impressed me.

It didn't start of great for the pokes as they faced Northwestern State tonight.  The opening kickoff, the Demons ran back the kick for a touchdown.  But McNeese came back with a couple scores of their own.  All in all the game became a shootout for a little while until the Cowboys pulled away at the end.

The pokes beat the demons 47-27 tonight to stay undefeated and also perfect in Southland Conference (SLC) play.  The Cowboys are 7-0 overall and 6-0 in SLC play. They will hit the road this week and take on Abilene Christian in Abilene Texas.

Abilene Christian are 20-5 overall and 2-4 in SLC play.  Kickoff for the game is set for 2:30 p.m.
