McNeese Football To Play Nebraska In 2014
The McNeese Athletic department announced yesterday that they just inked a deal to play Big 10 conference member Nebraska in the 2014 football season.
This will be the second meeting against the Cornhuskers in the history of the football program. The first game took place in 2002 when the Cowboys put up a valiant effort in a 38-14 loss and walked off the field at the end of the game to a standing ovation from the Husker faithful.
The Cowboys will also play Appalachian State in the 2014 season. Well Cowboy fans, looks like the McNeese football team will have a pretty tough schedule in two years. Strength of schedule is a good thing though for the Cowboys. If they can run the table in the Southland conference and make a good showing against Nebraska, it could be a great 2014 season!
